This is a FREE EVENT and open to anyone who wishes to make or be involved in the making of a 4 - 7 minutes movie.
On Wednesday August 19, teams draw their sponsored locations, mystery prop, and dialogue line during a pre-production brunch. The talent pool will have a chance to "Schmooze" the teams to get involved in somehow, this ranges from actors, grips, location providers, extras, coffee lackey, whatever role they can fill. At noon the PRODUCTION BEGINS! Script, Shoot, Edit, Score, Print it!
Films are due by Noon on Friday, August 21st and will premiere at the Mt. Emily Ale House in downtown La Grande at 10:30 pm that evening.
Films will also play on rotation throughout the day Saturday August 22nd during the "Crossing the Blues: La Grande Summer Festival" (www.crossingtheblues.com) which offer an array of rich arts and cultural events downtown.
A Filmmakers Choice and Audience Choice Award will be given to the winning team(s) and their short film to play at the following weekends Eastern oregon Film Festival! (www.eofilmfest.com).
