The golden Tamaracks were a highlight for the late fall Halloween Train. Also known as Western Larch, Tamarack trees shed their needles every fall, just like deciduous trees shed their leaves. Scattered among the dark green fir and pine trees, the Tamaracks added brilliant color to the towering ridges above the river and track.
